Arizona Cardinals
Jake the “Snake” Plummer played quarterback for Arizona Cardinals from 1997-2002. In 1999 Plummer led the Cardinals to their first playoff victory since 1947. Pat Tillman is known for his heroic act of service. Tillman turned down a contract offer of $3.6 million from the Cardinal to enlist in the Army.

Atlanta Falcons
Deion “Primetime” Sanders played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1989-1993. Although he is better known as a Dallas Cowboy, Prime started his career in Atlanta. Jamal Anderson taught us the Dirty Bird touchdown dance. Anderson rushed for 1,846 yards and led the Falcons to a Super Bowl appearance in 1998-99.

Baltimore Ravens
Ray Lewis is a lifetime Baltimore Raven. He is remembered as one of the greatest middle linebackers in NFL history. Ed Reed is also one of the greatest of all-time. He holds the NFL record for most interception yards. Both players were leaders on Baltimore’s daunted defenses of the 2000s.

Buffalo Bills
Jim Kelly was a fan favorite quarterback for the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1996. Kelly led the Bills to four consecutive super bowl appearances. Thurman Thomas was Kelly’s teammate at the running back position and NFL MVP in 1991.

Carolina Panthers
Kevin Greene was a sack machine and led the Panthers to a NFC championship game in 1996-97 and was the 1996 NFL defensive player of the year. Sam Mills is a niche pick. He was a veteran member of the inaugural Panther team and later became a coach and inspirational force in the 2003-04 Super bowl run.

Chicago Bears
Walter “Sweetness” Payton was the Chicago Bears’ running back from 1975-1987. This Chicago legend was a NFL MVP and a Super Bowl champion. Mike Ditka is the epitome of a Chicago Bear. Ditka is one of only two people to win NFL titles as a player, assistant coach, and head coach.

Cincinnati Bengals
Boomer Esiason was quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1984-1992. Believe it or not, he was the last quarterback to lead the Bengals to a playoff win. That was in 1990. You don’t see many jerseys for offensive lineman. Anthony Munoz is one of the few exceptions. Munoz was a 11x Pro Bowl selection for the Bengals from 1980-1991.

Cleveland Browns
Jim Brown may be the greatest football player of all-time. The former Cleveland Browns fullback was a Pro Bowl selection each year that he played in the league. Bernie Kosar is an alt-favorite pick. Kosar quarterbacked the Browns from 1985-1993.

Dallas Cowboys
It was very difficult to narrow all the great Dallas Cowboys to just two for this NFL throwback jersey best list. Troy Aikman is a classic because he has stayed relevant post-playing career in the broadcast booth. Roger Staubach is an American hero. Staubach served in the U.S. Navy before joining the Dallas Cowboys.

Denver Broncos
John Elway spent his entire 16 year career as a Denver Bronco. He later on became General Manager of the team. Shannon Sharpe was one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history. Sharpe finished his career as the all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns by a tight end.

Barry Sanders was an amazing running back for the Detroit Lions from 1989-1998. Sanders is remembered as being a really great player on some really bad Lions teams. Dick “Night Train” Lane is an extreme throwback NFL jersey. Lane held the record for most interceptions in a season with 14.

Reggie White was a sack machine for the Green Bay Packers from 1993-1998. White’s nickname was the “Minister of Defense”. Bart Starr was one of the first great quarterback. Starr led the Green Bay Packers to victories in Super Bowl I and II.

Houston Texans
Earl Campbell was a strong, tough running back for the Houston Oilers from 1978-1984. Campbell rushed for 9,407 yards and was the 1979 NFL MVP. Arian Foster is a contemporary pick for best NFL throwback jerseys. Foster played for the Texans from 2009-2015 and led the NFL in rushing in 2010.

Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning was one of my favorite players to watch. He won two Super Bowls as a player and my guess is that he will one day be a great General Manager. Marvin Harrison was one of Manning’s go-to receivers. Harrison was an 8-time Pro Bowler and held the record for most receptions in a single season with 143.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Mark Brunell is best known for his nine seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Brunell led the Jags to their first ever playoff appearance. Tony Boselli is another offensive line pick for best NFL throwback jersey. Boselli played for the Jaguars from 19995-2001 and was the team’s first ever draft pick.

Tony Gonzalez was a college basketball player turned NFL tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1997-2008. Gonzalez is known for his durability and ability to hold on to the football. Derrick Thomas was a Kansas City Chief great and played linebacker for the team from 1989-1999. Thomas was sadly involved in a car accident that cut his playing career and life short.

Tim Brown is my guy. He won a Heisman trophy at Notre Dame and then spent 1988-2003 with the Raiders. Ronnie Lott spent time with the Raiders after playing for the 49ers. Lott is considered to be one of the best safeties of all-time.

Junior Seau was a fan favorite linebacker for the San Diego Chargers from 1990-2002. Seau was a 12x Pro Bowl selection. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins had a lot of great players to choose from. Dan Marino is the greatest quarterback never to win a Super Bowl. Marino threw for 61,361 yards in his career. Zach Thomas was fun to watch at Middle Linebacker from 1996-2007. Thomas was an undersized MLB standing only 5’11”.

The two great wide receivers represent the Minnesota Vikings on this list. Randy Moss had an incredible rookie season in 1998 when he caught 17 touchdowns. Cris Carter was known for scoring touchdowns. Carter hauled in 130 touchdowns in his career.

Drew Bledsoe was a great quarterback for the New England Patriots. It took an injury to Bledsoe to open the opportunity for the GOAT Tom Brady to play. Curtis Martin was an underrated running back for the Patriots from 1995-1997. Martin ended up retiring as the fourth leading rusher in NFL history.

Randall Cunningham was one of the first great dual-threat quarterbacks. Cunningham finished his career with 29,979 passing yards and 4,928 rushing yards. Seattle Seahawks
Steve Largent is one of the greatest players in Seattle Seahawks history. Largent played wide receiver from 1976-1989 and later became an Oklahoma congressman. Kenny Easley was one of the best defensive backs of the 1980s. Easley had 32 career interceptions in his seven NFL seasons.

John Lynch was a hard-nosed safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1993-2003. Lynch later became a broadcaster and then General Manager. Mike Alstott is my favorite fullback of all-time. He was a tough power runner and rushed for 11 touchdowns in 2001.

Steve McNair and Jevon Kearse were two of the greatest Titans. McNair led the Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000. Kearse’s nickname was “The Freak” and had 14.5 sacks in his rookie season. This is a niche pick for best NFL throwback jersey.

Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders used to be known as the Redskins. Darrell Green was an athletic defensive back from 1983-2002. Green was known as the “Ageless Wonder” for his ability to maintain his athleticism in the later years of his career. Sean Taylor was one of the greatest safeties to play the game. Taylor’s career and life were cut short at age 24 when he was shot and killed by home intruders.
